Day 4 of my trip to Memphis finds me on the road to Tupelo, the birth place of Elvis. Here it is the Welcome to Tupelo sign as you are entering the town.
This sign sits next to the house where Elvis was born in.
The next two photos show the front and side view of Elvis' house.
Inside view of one of the rooms, once you enter the house you can understand how small it was and how poor the Presley's really were back when Vernon built this house.

A sign on the property close to the statue of a young Elvis describes what influenced him and how he blended those early influences with the musical influence of Memphis.
Here it is the statue of Elvis. They chose to use a young Elvis aged around the time the family moved from Tupelo to Memphis.
Here some pictures of the church Elvis and his family went to while they lived in Tupelo.

This is a sign describing the picture taken in Tupelo during the Mississippi-Alabama state fair 1956.
The statue was built to commemorate that day.
